Finally the sun is up when we leave for work and still up as we get home. Now that there is natural light filtering into your home you may start to notice that there has been some wear and tear on the hallway walls or that you need to update the color of a dining room or bedroom.

Even though the weather is getting better, it’s still a little too cold for us to be painting outside. Right now is a great time to call and have us come to your home and give you and estimate on what it would take to freshen up those “finger printed” hallways and maybe even transform your dining room.

We are eager to keep our employee’s busing during this lull before our busy spring season.

Schedule an appointment now and get your interior project on our schedule before the spring rush!

February 19th, 2010

I’m sure when February first rolled around we all had a moment when we said to ourselves, “It’s February, and spring can’t be too far away.”

Well, all you need to do is look out your window to see the results of the snowiest season on record here on the Main Line. As you look out the window I bet you can see icicles hanging from your gutters. Yes they look pretty, but the ice that has built-up in your gutters can cause a lot of damage. One gallon of frozen water weighs nearly 8 lbs!

Stand back and take a look at the gutters of your house and you will soon realize that there is a significant amount of weight pulling the gutters away from the fascia. During the warmer days the ice melts and water seeps into areas that are normally protected and when the water freezes at night it will expand and cause more damage (this is known as a freeze thaw cycle).

Over the next 6 weeks our area will experience many of these freeze thaw cycles and can cause the paint on your home to crack and peel.

It’s never too early to start planning for spring. Call us today to set-up an early March appointment to assess any damage the winter may have caused. We will have an estimate back to you within a day or two.

Call today. 610-449-7795 Our spring schedule fills up fast!

A the Presenting Sponsor Nolan Painting pays all of the bills and staffs the event, solicits other sponsors and all the American Cancer Society gets all the money.  In the past 11 years we have raised over $200,000 for the American Cancer society.

One of our partner sponsors is the Bryn Mawr Running Company.  They donate the amazing long sleeve technical shirts for Asics that we give to participants.

To thank the Bryn Mawr Running Company and you, we are partnering with them to provide an incentive to use Nolan Painting.  Here is how it works - get a room painted and get a pair of running shoes.  Get your whole house painted and get a whole new work out wardrobe.  Nolan Painting will take 10% of the painting price and give you a gift card from the running stare for that amount.

Commitment. Accountability. Reliability.

Three very important words to Nolan Painting. Not only are they important to us, but we know they are extremely important to you, our customers.

To abide by these principles, we are committed to serving you according to our company philosophy:

THE NOLAN PROMISE

· We will start and finish on time

· We will maintain a neat, clean project

· We will provide a total commitment to all details

· We will stand behind our work

· We pledge an assurance of high quality

You might say to yourself, “I’ve heard that before, everybody says it.” Every day I meet people who tell me how frustrated they were with the last contractor they hired, because they either never showed up on time or took forever to complete the project. I’ve seen the result of sloppy workmanship, just because someone didn’t take the time to handle a small detail. And the ultimate lack of accountability is when the contractor won’t stand behind their work. I’ve met people who have felt so betrayed, that they have given up on getting someone to just answer a phone call. I’ve heard it, seen it, and felt it!

You may have had these experiences and be wondering, “How does Nolan Painting do all these things so well?” We do it by holding ourselves accountable; starting at the Management level and continuing through to the individual level.

We conduct weekly training seminars that revolve around our promise. We discuss how to paint both the interior and exterior of your home according to the Nolan Promise. We talk about how to protect the areas (and surfaces) we are not painting and even how to label a can of paint for proper storage — all according to the Nolan Promise.

Conducting training on these and many other aspects of our commitment to you on a regular basis, assures you the high quality and value you expect from Nolan Painting.

Commitment. Accountability. Reliability. When you put these three words together, you get…….

I have a big event coming up that I would like to share with you. I am the Race Director for the 12th Annual Main Line 5K Run & Fun Walk, benefitting The Main Line Chamber Foundation. Presented by Main Line Health, the race takes place on Saturday, September 26th in rain or shine - registration opens at 7:00 am and the 5K Run begins at 8:00 am (followed by the 3K Fun Walk at 8:05 am). The Foundation, established in 2001, grants scholarships to deserving local high school students. Additionally, the Foundation provides support for volunteer fire companies in the community, specifically by providing financial aid to assist in the recruitment of new volunteers, and by awarding scholarships to individual firefighters. The Main Line 5K Run & Fun Walk provides much of the funding used by the Foundation to support our local community.

Nolan Painting is also a proud sponsor of the 12th Annual Main Line 5K Run & Fun Walk. Nolan Painting will be a large presence on the day of the race, with twenty Nolan Painting employees pledging their time as volunteers on race day. The race begins and ends at the Chamber office, located at 175 Strafford Avenue in Wayne, and leads runners on a scenic course through beautiful Wayne. After the race, runners and walkers are welcome to enjoy a Health and Fitness Expo attended by local health and fitness experts.

As Race Director, the Main Line Run represents the culmination of my hard work over the past few months, as well as the efforts of the Main Line Run Committee. For me, it has also allowed another wonderful opportunity to give back to the community in which I live and work. I am extremely excited about what is sure to be a great day for the whole family.

For more information on the Foundation, or to sign up as a runner, walker, or volunteer, please visit www.mainlinerun.org

Hope to see you there.

Thanks,

Kevin Nolan
