Main Line Painting Contractor, Kevin Nolan, Becomes The Main Line Chamber’s New Chairman

Kevin Nolan, President of Nolan Painting, Havertown, PA, was inducted yesterday as the new Chairman of the Board of The Main Line Chamber of Commerce.

Kevin NolanFebruary 2, 2012 (The Main Line, PA) – Kevin Nolan, President of Nolan Painting, Havertown, PA, was inducted yesterday as the new Chairman of the Board of The Main Line Chamber of Commerce. His predecessor, Stephen Di Orio, State Farm Insurance Agent of Wayne, PA, passed the gavel to Kevin who excitedly accepted.

Di Orio described Nolan as incredibly hardworking. “Kevin is going to take the organization to levels we haven’t yet seen before,” says Di Orio. “He never stops until he accomplishes his goals. Kevin is an amazing partner and it’s been a privilege to work with him.”

Bernard Dagenais, President and CEO of the Chamber, thanked both Di Orio and Nolan and said because of you the chamber is stronger and the future is bright.

Nolan expressed that he is very lucky to be Chairman now: “The health of the Chamber is excellent and the programs have become first rate such as The Make More Save More Series, Society of Professional Women, and its Young Professional events,” said Nolan. “The business of the Chamber has become like my own and I want to continue in the tradition of excellence that has been the history of the Chamber. I plan to use my skills I have learned as a leader and help it continue to grow.”

Nolan has been a member of The Main Line Chamber for 13 years, a board member for eight years, and has been the Chair of the Main Line Run for seven years, helping to raise tens of thousands of dollars for Volunteer Firefighter Scholarships. He has served on The Main Line Chamber Foundation and the following committees: Board Development, Leadership Main Line, Strategic Planning, CEO Search, Go Green and Business Education.

Nolan Painting has been a long time sponsor of Chamber events and programs. In 2003, Nolan Painting won The Main Line Business of the Year Award and in 2011, The Main Line Gives Back Award.

Kevin Nolan started his painting business while studying undergrad at Villanova University. It has over 50 full time employees and has been recognized as one of the best places to work in Pennsylvania. Nolan is also part owner, with his brother Brian, of Summit Serves Inc., a consulting company that specializes in helping other contracting businesses. Nolan lives in Edgmont with his wife of 30 years and has four children. He is a runner having run marathons in 22 out of the 50 states.
