Nolan Painting donated labor and materials to renovate the headquarters of The Patrician Society—a vital contributor to our community. Nolan team members removed paneled and sheetrock walls, installed necessary trim and then painted rooms, closets and doors. Total investment in the project was $7,360.
WHO IT BENEFITS:
The Patrician Society provides help for elderly people on fixed incomes, homeless persons, parents who receive public assistance while caring for children, residents of boarding homes, recently unemployed and underemployed family breadwinners and others in need. The Society is a non-profit, non-sectarian organization that has been serving the economically marginalized community in the greater Norristown area since 1981. In 2018 alone, the agency served 1,039 different verifiably needy households in one or more of its programs.
WHEN & WHERE:
The work was performed in May of 2019. The Patrician Society is located at 121 E. Chestnut Street in Norristown, Pa.
This charitable effort is part of Nolan Painting’s Nolan in the Neighborhood community outreach program. The program is focused on improving the community, particularly in the areas of education, the environment,
health and fitness, and local history.
LeeAnn Rooney, Executive Director: “The Patrician Society Emergency Food Cupboard serves nearly 1,100 families all through the year. Nolan Painting agreed to take on a renovation and painting project in the Patrician Society Emergency Food Cupboard and in so doing provided a fully professional job including demolition of a wall, carpentry, drywall, interior and exterior painting. The quality of their work is unsurpassed. Every worker was professional, courteous, and concerned with accomplishing every part of the job with utmost care. The Patrician Society is grateful to Nolan for all of their work and will be happy to highly recommend them any time!”
