Over the years, we have given back to the Southeast Pennsylvania community in many ways. In particular, we are proud of our community involvement in local, Philadelphia schools. We’ve taken part in many projects that have enhanced the schools and provided a nicer environment for students to learn. Doing work in Philadelphia schools has been a special way for us to give back.
Our company has a community focused program called Nolan in the Neighborhood, which aims to assist the local community, particularly in the areas of education, the environment, health and fitness, and local history.
One of the projects that we are most proud of is a project we took on at Overbrook Elementary School.
Overbrook Elementary School Library Project
Nolan Painting organized a Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service project where we transformed a classroom into a working library. This was a project that we were proud to organize and bring together our partners at Sherwin-Williams and the Kiwanis Club of the Main Line. Sherwin-Williams graciously donated the paint for the project and the Kiwanis Club of the Main Line brought a group of volunteers to assist with the moving of furniture and painting.
Nolan Painting donated $2,500 in value of our time and talent to make this project a success. We supplied the equipment, trucks, ladders and team of painters.
One of the reasons why this project was so meaningful to our company was the impact that we were able to provide on education. Education is one of the core focuses of our Nolan in the Neighborhood initiative and we were thrilled to be able to be part of this effort.
It was a wonderful day that we hope leaves a lasting impact on the school for years to come.

Community Involvement
Our community involvement in Philadelphia schools is something we are proud of. Giving back in this way is important to our staff. We are grateful for the support we receive throughout the year from the residents of Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs. This is our way of saying “thank you” for the support of our business within the community.
In addition to this project, we give back throughout the entire year to all areas of Southeast Pennsylvania that we work within. As part of the Nolan in the Neighborhood program, we invest $100,000 in charities and community events each year, and our employees donate over 1,000 volunteer hours.
We choose the programs and nonprofits organizations we assist through careful research and thought to make sure that we are improving the lives of the people in our community. Our teams get excited when we offer them the opportunity to do work in the community and we are happy to do so.
When choosing a commercial or residential painting company, choose a company that gives back to your community.
