Havertown, Pa. (December 14, 2015) – The 18th Annual Reindeer Romp was held here on Sunday, December 13th and raised $20,000 for The American Cancer Society. Approximately 1000 people participated in the 5K run and walk held in memory of Brandon Lake, a local Havertown boy who lost his fight against cancer. Since its inception, the event has raised over $320,000 for the American Cancer Society. Nolan Painting is the presenting sponsor and company founder and president Kevin Nolan is the event organizer.
According to Mr. Nolan, the Reindeer Romp is a prime example of the positivity that comes from communities that care.
“The cause, the participation and the teamwork make The Reindeer Romp a very special day of the year,” he said. “We raise a lot of money, celebrate the community and remember a little boy who lost a battle with a terrible disease.”
The Reindeer Romp is part of Nolan in the Neighborhood, a community initiative supporting local organizations and events throughout the Main Line area.
Since its founding in 1979, Nolan Painting has been an active community partner – attending, volunteering and sponsoring road races, concerts, festivals, silent auctions, shows and sporting events throughout the Main Line and surrounding areas.
