Havertown, Pa. (July 16, 2019) – On Monday, July 15th, Nolan Painting volunteers served dinner for 74 cancer patients and caregivers at the American Cancer Society AstraZeneca Hope Lodge in Cheltenham. The diners enjoyed a “Christmas in July” meal – complete with turkey, mashed potatoes, veggies, mac ‘n cheese and pies.

Hope Lodge offers cancer patients and their caregivers a free place to stay when their best hope for effective treatment may be in another city. Hope Lodge provides a nurturing, home-like environment where guests can retreat to private rooms or connect with others. Every Hope Lodge also offers a variety of resources and information about cancer and how best to fight the disease. Currently, there are more than 30 Hope Lodge locations throughout the United States and Puerto Rico, including the one in Cheltenham.

“Facing cancer is obviously very tough,” said Kevin Nolan, Nolan Painting’s founder and president. “The American Cancer Society has a place where cancer patients and their caregivers can find help and hope, even when home is far away – an American Cancer Society Hope Lodge. As a company, we feel an obligation to lend our support in any way we can.”

This charitable effort is part of Nolan Painting’s Nolan in the Neighborhood community outreach program.  The program is focused on improving the community, including in the area of health and fitness.
