A Bryn Mawr Victorian Project Spotlight
The Beauty of Detail
We recently completed a special project in Bryn Mawr, a stunning Victorian home that embodies the architectural character of its era. Featuring steep, complex rooflines, intricately detailed wood trim, bay windows, terraces, diamond-lead glass windows, an asymmetrical facade, and decorative eaves, this home called for both expert craftsmanship and a thoughtful approach to color.

Shaping the Vision
The project began with a consultation with our color expert, Christy, who worked with our customer to explore a palette inspired by Victorian history but tailored for modern living. The goal was to create a look that felt timeless and elegant from the street, while introducing vibrant, jewel-toned accents in more private areas like the rear entrance and side terrace.

Once the vision was set, our team prepped the exterior, ensuring the trim, windows, and ornate features were ready for fresh paint. Our carpentry team repaired and replaced rotted wood on the rear porch on some of the dormers and frames, and our expert painters performed a low pressure wash, sanded and primed wood surfaces, and caulked any gaps in the wood trim. Throughout the process, precision and care were key.
The final result is a home that beautifully balances history and personality. From the curb, it reads as classic and refined. Up close, bolder colors like plum and pink highlight the architectural details, bringing life and artistry to the scrolls, corbels, and decorative woodwork.
